The same job. A different product.
People who like tmux search tmux attach, not a new app. 1SessionTool is for the rest: native scroll, another machine, a phone, an agent API, without becoming tmux with a theme.
tmux is the established terminal multiplexer. A server holds sessions; clients attach over a socket. It is free, scriptable, and the default answer to 'don't lose the process'.
Where they win. People who already live in prefix, who want a cheatsheet they already know, and who do not want a GUI or a phone client.
The difference. Same job: don't lose the process. Different product: no prefix, native scroll and select, attach from app, browser and phone, an API for agents and 1DevTool, and a VPS as a named server. We do not beat tmux at being tmux.

Should I switch if I already like tmux?
No. The PRD is explicit: people who like tmux search tmux attach. 1SessionTool is not trying to beat tmux at being tmux.
Can I still run tmux inside a pane?
Yes. 1SessionTool does not require tmux knowledge and does not block tmux inside a pane.
