All switching guides
Stay on tmux if you like prefix. Leave if you don't.
tmux is the category. Acquisition is not 'we are better tmux'. It is first-use taste, glass, and an API.
Stay if this is you. People who already live in prefix, who want a cheatsheet they already know, and who do not want a GUI or a phone client.
Prefix, then a viewport
One client, one view. Independent scroll and select on a second glass is not the product.
Phone is not a client
tmux attach from a phone is a terminal in a terminal. 1SessionTool treats the phone as glass onto a host that stays on.
Agents speak argv, not a prefix language
1session spawn --session work --server vps1 -- claude. The agent is the command. There is no wrapper named after a vendor.
If you do switch
- Native scroll, select and copy. Each client owns its viewport.
- Attach from Mac, PC, browser or phone without killing the PTY.
- Named servers with honest lid physics. Local dies. A remote host stays up.
- CLI and HTTP API so 1DevTool and agents can drive a pane.
